Work I've done with UN based organisations in Africa
Since 2018, I have worked in numerous African countries documenting the work of non-profit organisations.
I have worked for the World Health Organisation, the United Nations Children's Fund and the Global Fund.
During this time, I have encountered many stories of hope and resilience. I have seen the first malaria vaccine administered in Ghana. I have heard the story of an eight-year-old girl in Nigeria selling biscuits to help her parents. I have interviewed a transwoman who is helping her community with TB and HIV prevention. I have seen the smiles of those orphaned by Boko Haram, despite the trauma in their young lives.
NGOs have an important place in my world - I am curious about how they create and sustain change - and how they are able to support those making a difference. It has been an honour to see these stories through my camera lens.
I am reminded of the power of photography - to galvanise, inspire and change the world.
Given the sensitivity of these projects, the images are greyed out and viewable by request. If you are a registered NGO interested in telling the true stories of your work, please do get in touch.
